How do One Combat Shyness?Posted
Scientist has alleged that there exists a genetic gene within the DNA for Shyness. With this said most of you that are shy may feel the innate need to embrace your shyness as a part of who you are. Weather this is true or not I would like to encourage you to change this pattern of thinking. In my experiences I have learned that this so called gene, or the act of being shy, can be over ruled. Like most things in life, where there is consistency results follow. This holds true with the forthcoming theory. It is my theory that shyness can be controlled, overthrown, or possibly abolished (in the general sense) by simply converting to a CONFIDENT MINDSET. What needs to take place here is a psychological reconditioning of one's view about self. I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that one's thoughts is a direct reflection of their life, or reality. If you perceive yourself as being shy, then your entire being will resonate on this level. Those around you will perceive you how you perceive yourself. So what can you do about this? Recondition your mind into seeing yourself in a new light. You may even want to use affirmations that suggest things like you are outgoing, ambitious, a go getter, etc. Not only this, but make changes in your life that suggest to your mind that you are not shy. When you notice a shy act, rebuke it and act in the reverse manner. The key to getting to the point where you can do this is by being confident in yourself. If you can raise your level of confidence, you can then overpower the urges of Shyness. Believe it or not, shyness is a choice. It may be hard to realize this for some of you, but once you raise your level of confidence, you will see exactly what I mean. This is your universe; everything else is just living in it. So act and think accordingly. Add: If a smoker wanted results fast he would quit smoking cold turkey. If a shy person wants results fast give public speeches in front of large audiences or join a dance class. Cliff Mckinn Seeking TruthPosted
"The voice speaks only the tongue of souls, 25 years passes old. Truth disguised in stacks of hay, a needle he seeks for all his day. Look north, look south, look east and west. One such needle resides in chest." Cliff Mckinn _________________________________________________________________ Break Down: 1st Line: Imagine an inner voice that is not heard by the ear, but felt by the soul. At times in your life you may have had a deep intuition about something that you just felt deep inside of your soul, and it lead you to believe what you were feeling even though you may not have had any logical reason to back your sudden hunch. Take a guy driving the same route home from work each day gets a sudden hunch to take a different route. Then later he finds out that there was a fatal wreck on the route he normally travels and around the same time he would have been traveling on the route, had he not detoured. In this poem, if it is such, the person involved is 25, because 25 years have passed. 2nd Line: The 2nd verse is referring to the idea of finding a needle in a hay stack, which is near impossible. The seeker of truth sees a multitude of religions and therefore equates truth as the needle. All the different religions would be the stacks of hay. For all his day, or 25 years (since 25 years has passed), he seeks this needle or the truth. 3rd Line: In the third line we see that the seeker is looking everywhere for truth. The seeker then learns that truth is within him all along which refers to the bible verse stating that heaven is within. If the poem holds true, maybe the key to going within one's self to seek truth is MEDITATION. Cliff Mckinn I'm "ME"Posted
I am "ME", and being "ME" is what makes me who I am. If I wasn't "Me", I'd probably be "YOU". Since I am not "YOU" then you must be "YOU". So you should be just "YOU" and no other. We should be all that we are and shine like the stars do. I see "ME" as great and "YOU" as great, let no other tell you different. Let this provide ENERGY & MOTIVATION to your day. CLiff McKinn |
