the 44 president - BARACK OBAMA

if your turn to you kids today and say to them "you can be anything you want to be", that statement has more validity today than it did when you heard it as a kid. The reason why is because our 44th president is a black man. Barack obama has now only given hope to a nation , he has given hope to a people and a generation to come to see this can be me..... i can do this , i can be the leader of the new free world. He has a hard job ahead of him but he has already accomplished so much by just making it there. I see black people on their way to school or work this morning with a new sense of pride , old young middle age everyone greeting each other either with a simple hello or raise of the black fist. i wasn't alive during the days of malcolm x or martin luther but i can empathise with my elders who where and have lived to see this day come to past. For them it so more surreal than anything they ever imagined, for someone like me growing up in the days of public enemy and spike lee movies; my generation had their own black awareness movement and we thought we would the be ones to interject the change our parents never seen, people thought we where naive idealist. well if i'm not mistaken i think we just did it. BARACK OBAMA OUR 44 TH PRESIDENT.
