Interracial relationships between black women and white men will be the subject of an upcoming broadcast on The Date Smarter, Not Harder Internet Radio Talk Show on BlogTalkRadio.Com. Dr. Judice holds a Ph.D. and MA in sociology, and a BA in psychology. She is the author of the ONLY scholarly treatise on black female/white male relationships in print "Interracial Marriages Between Black Women and White Men."

Karyn Folan is the author of a soon to be released book on the same subject entitled "Don't Bring Home A White Boy and other Notions that Keep Black Women From Dating Out," which will be released from Simon and Schuster in February 2010.

This is a very interesting topic, as the majority of interracial relationships in the African American community are between Black men and women of other races - at a ratio estimated to be as high as 20 to 1. We'll discuss the reasons why this is so, and how things are changing, the impact on US culture as a whole, and the Black community in particular.

San Francisco Dating Advice Examiner

Our world is in the second half of 2009. Over the past 100 years, American society has advanced and modernized. Worldwide communications take place within seconds, which has resulted in everyone (including children), becoming much more savvy.  

So why is it that many Black men still hold onto the notion that a woman with sexual experience is somehow flawed and unsuitable to become a wife?   

A guy made a statement which alleges "for women, there is implicit value from them being discerning and discriminating when choosing to have sex with. So, when a woman feels empowered to express her sexuality it can be viewed as her lowering her implicit value"!

What the hell? He and too many other men focus entirely on what’s between a woman’s legs to determine her "value" like she is some sort of livestock! 

A woman’s VALUE is in how she loves you, relates to you, supports and encourages you, shares  her life with you, and partners with you on the journey of life. Her intelligence, wit, ambition, devotion, the way she handles the household’s financial affairs, and the way she handles her children should all be much more important to you than what she has done with HER PU$$Y.

There are many ways a man can abuse a woman, but I've narrowed the list down to five key points to watch for. What follows is an explanation of the primary ways a negative attitude towards women and a propensity towards abuse of females is demonstrated.

Why is there so much hesitation when it comes to picking up the phone? Has texting become the newest addition to the list of "if you can’t beat 'em, join 'em?"

I believe the growing preference for texting has a lot to do with its impersonal nature. It's much easier to launch a new relationship by exchanging texts than it is to talk. It's also very easy to say and do things over a screen that one would never have the nerve to do face to face (or say ear to ear). That would make things easier I suppose, but it also creates new problems.

A large part of communication is non-verbal. When texting, the other party cannot receive those fine nuances of communication such as tone of voice, held back giggles, excited breathing, or body language that demonstrates anxiety, happiness or growing irritation.

Texting it seems, is here to stay, but there really should be some rules in place to guide our use of this new communication medium. So, after listening to dozens of complaints from friends, coworkers, and family about their relationships and texting, I came up with "Deborrah's 10 Texting Rules For Dating Singles."

Living The Single Life - Surviving Dating!

Ladies, please help me out by taking this short survey to help men figure out what it is we need.

Pro-Life, Pro-Choice Or Pro-Abortion?

I've been working for the past 18 years in the field doing all I can to help Black men and women create more rewarding romantic relationships. And since disturbing statistics on the numbers of Black women that will either never marry or will end up single after divorce are out, I thought it might be beneficial to do some research into what it is that men are looking for in a wife.

So I asked the question: just what is it that makes a woman wife material? This is the subject of a survey I've launched recently, and I am hoping you can help me spread the word to get the men you know to participate in this anonymous research project.

I am looking for adult men over the age of 18 willing to take a 15 minute survey to share their thoughts and opinions on what qualities makes a woman "wife material" and which behaviors and qualities eliminate her from consideration.

The survey is multiple choice with a few fill-in-the-blank types where you say what you want to say in your own words.

Please take a few minutes to take the survey and share the URL with male friends, relatives and coworkers. My goal is to log several thousand responses before the end of the year from men of all ages and races, both married and single.
