Deep Mumblings

No Narcissus, we need one another

I tend to fall in love with men,
who are in madly in love with themselves.
Trees which ignore the roots that bring their inspiration up from the deep.
Tragedy awaits.
As I grow closer in my adoration,
his eyes are a mirror in which he can only see himself.
And my presence is only a mirror in which he can only see himself.
I grow nearer to him.
I want to be close to him.
I want to touch him.
But he's sitting in a single chair, where there is seating space only for him.
It isolates like mad.
He feels my love in the room, but he mistakes it for his own.
He's warmed by my fire, but he mistakes it for his own.
He can only see himself.
Tragedy awaits.
We cannot hug each other, because he's gripping himself... and he won't let go.
We cannot make love because he's masturbating
and I'm getting cold. Mutual lonelyness.
He can only see himself.
Tragedy awaits.
Its isolates like mad.
While he's venturing into his world of reflection, I pretend to have mine.
I pretend to be occupied.
I pretend not to care.
I pretend not to long
for his attention.
Tragedy awaits.

Supercurl means superSHRINK - Ceramic Irons.. Product Review

Posted

As I was coming from the gym, I was pulled in by these ladies who offered to try their straightening iron on me. I was a little hesitant at first, but I let them try it. In only a few seconds and one pass.. my hair turned out like this:

First off this product really works. The mall lady was shocked that my hair was so long. I rode the subway with partly straight hair and the rest my normal length. I got home and saw that my hair is 14 inches long from root to tip. When it is in its natrually curly/kinky state it appears to be only FOUR inches long. This means my hair appears to SHRINK up to 350% because its so curly. WOW!

You can check out the product here:

I highly recommend for anyone who want straight hair sometimes, but not all the time. Im definately going to buy it for $150 with promotion at the Manhattan mall on 32nd street.

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much , an d pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more informatio n, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be a round forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera 100% Gel - Product Review

This product has done wonders for my hair! It controls and defines the curls of even very curl/kinky hair without weighing it down. It keeps a healthy shine but without the greasy feeling. I recommend this product for black people who want to control their natural curl pattern, parents of mixed children or anyone with curly or kinky hair.

I use a little leave in conditioner to moisturize my hair, a small amount of oil for scalp and this product is a perfect finish in combination.

The main key is that it has NO alcohol!

I love it!

Since people are having less babies how does that affect the overall mental health of the population?

It has been widely discussed that depending on when a child is born, they may be more likely predisposed to certain psychological states. Parents tend to make their mistakes on the first child and spoil the youngest child. These choices have serious implications on the behaviours and evolved personality of the child.

I'm curious, as a country which is having less and less children, how doe these changes affect us as a whole? How does it change our social structure?

Any thoughts?

We sing like we've still got some hope..
