As I look into the mirror I see the tiredness from working 40 hour weeks and doing all I can to stay on top of my game! Darn it's hard being here all alone with no man to support me and keep me warm at night~But oh well I have been taking care of myself now and the best treatment I find comes from within. Learning how to love me first was one of the hardest lessons for a woman to learn. As women we are taught from our mother's arms to give love and to receive it but little did we know that we spend more time giving love than receiving it~ My body which is my temple cries for the touch of another to comfort and wipe away all vestiges of weariness and to embrace him as though this would be our last hour on earth together! Is that too much of a request to ask for? Someone to take my cares to and my worries? To have someone say to me instead of me saying the magic words 'Every little thing is going to be alright' soothing to the ears of a woman who tries so hard to stand up in a universe that presses her down but the truth be known that at the feet of a woman treasures are found and the mysteries of life unfold so if possible find yourself a woman who will be your rib as she will be always under your heart and by your side~Woman deserves a real man!

I set out to write something witty and funny to pass the time away tonight but what I am doing is giving some raw truths to those who want to hear and let the truth set you and I free~ There is an old saying that "Truth Needs No Support" and I have found this to remain the same no matter the situation begins or ends. The life of our people are always on focus but usually for all the wrong things,if it's the kids up the block or the Boogie neighbors on the side we enjoy drama and more drama. Some may say that this is a bull- and we don't like drama, we like to hear all the nasty rumors that somehow make our turmoil or what we do not as bad as the next man's. I text an answer on a social network,to a female a young one today to say to her that her comment was extremely harsh that she said about someone she considered a crack-head the woman asked her for some change to help her get on the bus or who knows it is not our place to judge her. The problem I had with the statement was not only did she talk about the unfortunate woman's condition she added a picture with her cellphone,and  a photo that everyone seems to like to add to their blogs,social networking or what have you..That wasnt news that was a put-down on another human being for whatever reason has had some addiction and problems in their lives~See a whole lot of people won't confess to having some type of vices or addictions too that society will look down upon but will put someone else on display to transfer that self-loathing to someone other than them! People need to evolve to a point that they don't need to cling to the stereotype that America has cast on our people of color for so long that we are shiftless,lazy,mean-spirited and ignorant. Sure we can attend the best colleges and become soirees but some still cling to the fascination of make-believe that we are somehow grander than we really are? And we all got a date with our maker just like MJ did this month. Money or station will not save you from what is inevitable~ our demise so why don't we try to love someone other than ourselves and stop trying to make others miserable or unhappy because you are! That is so desperate and heartless when our lives should be spent looking at the brightest stars,the translucence of the moon and the warmth and luster of the Sun~ Everyone may or may not see the beauty in living maybe because they haven't lost enough of themselves to find that kind spot inside, whereas they can extend a hand to another and not give them the hand of shade that many do~People restore my faith in Humanity one random act a day~Just try being kind it never hurts and the dividends are timeless,that's why I make lemonade out of lemons even when I want a Pepsi!! LOL~Happy 4th of July Folks-Be safe and be Helpful to someone else than those you know... I shared these photo of solidarity in the Parks w/people of all denominations.. My brother and  I took this pic about a month ago at Malcom X Park in DC and it's the darndest thing,I see more Europeans being nice to People of Color  than our own kind seems kinda backwards don't you think!! LOVE_LOVE_ MAKES_THE WORLD_GO_ROUND~ PEACE AND DECREASE THE VIOLENCE~

This picture is very real to me..it celebrates a freedom that art cannot portray in imitation. The old saying goes art imitates life. What can represent who you are better than you? No matter where we go we are always there. the women who cry there eyes out about finding good men and then realizing they had been chasing a dream are no less or more disappointed than women have been before. This is not a phenomena..Men it seems have changed for the worst and some females too, our expectations are either too high or not high enough and men have forgotten to love ,have and hold through sickness and in health. We have for gotten that it doesn't take a lot to get love when it's not forced by possessions,sex or other trinkets to coax,trick or force someone to care when the capacity is not there to begin with. I remember someone telling me years ago that you can't expect a rabbit to hang with wolves it will get eaten and then who's to blame for the mismatch? The same applies to people. We all want someone who is appealing ,has charisma and a job if applicable! But why would you let someone lead you down the path that has no potential or even the mind to work in a pie factory ,all they may have is the sex game down pat and then you are sprung,lock~stock and barrel to the point that he or she would rather die than to give up someone that wasn't real to begin with! AAHH the travails of growing up.. got to love the experience though! I hear all types of reports that the Back Man is almost extinct as far as capable and viable matches in the Black neighborhoods and in cities all over America. There is a predominant amount of young black me incarcerated who come home and don't know water from dirt when it comes to the art of wooing and loving a woman. That style has to be learned not played by the book your buddies told you to read but by the beat of your heart and the determination that comes with you being the man you were born to be the protector, the head of household,if at first your not then you obtain that status by doing those things that determine your capable and able. You don't rise to the occasion with the thought that you got it by the sex parts you get it by accomplishing those things that set you apart in your woman's heart. You have to be adamant about being there and like Denzel Washington says so eloquently when he fell in love with his wife it was as if she was the only woman on Earth and you have to be straight up about this not having her fight and go through drama because you want to sleep around with every woman with a big buttocks..Naw that ain't whats happening ~ This rap ain't all or nothing but if you listen to your heart instead of your head life may begin to look a little brighter and your journey may become a bit lighter because your finally learning what it takes to become a man , a leader someone who she will appreciate and perhaps follow..but without some of these traits all you will get is some problems and more drama something we all could do without,,,Just some words from an ole head whose been around for a minute and knows that it works if you work IT~~ Love and Peace .

I have been blogging, gathering friends and making new ones but I always come back to my spot~ right here on BP. Why? because I have a lot of enjoyment and also consciousness on these pages. The brothers and sisters I have met along the way are just like family minus the DNA and blood-lines. But we know that an adopted family can sometimes be better to you than a real one so hold the presses. If one can be flexible and support each other like I preach all the time maybe then we would be more universally acceptable,most people don't wander outside of their respective doors or communities for fear of whatever they perceive it to be. I know from experience that light and enhancement can be found anywhere you just have to choose your vehicle because you will be the vessel of your new-found energy and education. So relax and sit back and remember we only have one life to live and to give so let's start by being kinder,wiser and removing our self-imposed restraints and let's explore and see what there is out in the BIG Unknown Galaxies of the NET~http://tinyurl.com/jowzz Read this and Laugh~ Like I did, it was simply hilarious!!

This a class act and one of my best flick picks from the net!

It was a if God said 'Let there be peace and all was well. I would sum up this weeks events in that manner.People were on their best behaviorswhile visiting and attending President Obama's Swearing-In Ceremonies, my grandkids and I were on Pennsylvania Ave. SE most of the week celebrity watching and selling Obama buttons as well as every other person in the city. They had quite a collection of wares to choose from,Obama dollars,aprons hoodies,tees,glasses,watches,bottled waters,photos,calendars,buttons,hand warmers,feet warmers and anything else you can imagine and the crazy part is that the tourist bought everything that was displayed. It was as if we were on the popular game show 'Let's Make A Deal' Tourist took pictures, talked to citizens,visited all the landmarks as well as got in the long lines at 'Ben's Chili Bowl a popular eatery in DC. I particularly enjoyed the Buffalo Soldiers Troupe who were representative of the First Black Calvary in history and the presentation was both touching for those who delve into our roots and understood the symbolism of there presence. Everyone it seems has our new President on display,either it is the mistake he supposedly made during his speech or whether the President and His First Lady made 'Whoopee" on their first night in the White House. I would say to those who are Hating on our First Black Family~ To get over it,his accomplishments as we speak are now a matter of History and noone can change that fact. It is time for change, He was the Catalyst and if we fall in as good citizens something good may come of this election and cabinet, I will say for all intents and purposes we have a heck of a better chance than we had with our previous endorsement .Mr. Bush who it seemed singlehandedly with his cronies rocked the very foundations of our country with the under-handed tactic and focus group favors,and don't forget the outright mistruths.We can yes we can and we did,now all that remains is in the future and it seems much brighter to me, how about you?
