Can the Dems finally grow some spine? This is just getting to be ridiculous. The party of no is becoming the party of no government. The party on the right will not give President Obama what it is he needs to move ahead. We on the left it seems we either did not learn the lessons of 1994. Or we have forgotten the brutal lesson with the then contract of America. But we at least have the benefit of the two elections in Virginia and Massachusetts. As I do not believe that this is a direct rejection of the "Obama Agenda." However I do see a silver lining. How you probably ask? This is a warning that if the administration does not get out in front of what we have happening . We will se another 1994. Axelrod who I think is a brilliant man and President Obama who speaks as well as Regan and he does speak as well as Regan. Need to take his argument to the American people. And tell them about this filibuster crap his nominees not getting thru and so fourth. When he goes in front of his fellow Americans his numbers go up. I was happy that it looks as if Senators Boxer,Brown and a few others are ready to fight for health care. Although I am not a fan of this Public Option. It is showing me that they at least are growing a spine. What the Party of no government learned from 1994 is that if you publicly shut down the government you will not look good to your fellow Americans. If you do it behind closed doors no one will no that you are stopping the country from running which is what they are doing. As they will even vote against bills that they them selves put on the floor for a vote. 7 did so last week and some of their names were even on the bills they voted against. I work with average people that don't follow politics as much as I do and not quite as much as they should after all it is their own government. And in listening to those who get their 411 from sources like the fixed news channel or conservative talk radio it looks as if President Obama is the biggest klutz since Ford kept falling down the stairs. Or since Bush 41 forgot to wear some protection the night he conceived JR. The people on the right know how to fight. They knew that if the stopped health care as Sen. Dement said it would be Obama's Waterloo. And they were right. It may not have broken him but he is bending and he should not. It has been a year and the health care he tried to give us. THAT would have been the big bold change he promised us. And the type of change we voted 4. Remember the 2000 election Gore thought he was handling things in a dignified manner and the Bush people tore him a new one. The same has happened over the past few months. President Obama has been trying to handle things in a professional manner and the fighters on the right are handing him his own set every day. He needs to show them he is a black man from Chicago. He needs to act like a black man from Chicago. I don't mean he should go around beating people with lead pipes or show up at the next joint session of congress with a Chicago type writer. But he needs to show that he has a set of brass ones in his pants. People said that Joe Wilson yelling "you lie" was about race it was not only about race. It was to show him he was not the boss. That the Party of no government was the bosses. When the congress went into recess Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel was caught with their pants down. They should have had as many boots on the ground to yell back at the GOP protesters. They did not learn from 2000. I think it is time for true but kicking on our side. President Obama allegedly scolded minority the Leader from OHIO in the oval office. I would have done in on the floor of the capitol in front of the C Span cameras for the world to see. Or in the Rose Garden in front of the press core President Obama does not want to be viewd as a cry baby Ivory tower eliteist to be handled with kid gloves. But if he wants to bee seen as a man he all ready walks like he has a set of Brass ones. He needs to start acting like it. A brutha from CHI Would first call his man out and then beat his A$$ in front of the whole hood. MY only reservation about then Canidate Obama was would he have the guts to pimp slap somebody if he had 2 and every body said he is a Brutha from Chi of course he would if he has to. Well when is he going to start. If in 1999 then Governor George bush could say he was a compassionate conservative. What a crock that was. Then why cant some one on our side should say they are a bad assed liberal or a hard nosed Democrat. I say it all the time and I no it to be true I don't fight fair. I am a product of the American Projects. And we don't fight fair the same way Rove and Cheney wont fight fair
