Ooooh my GOD---look at Barack go!!!! I can imagine him as a little boy saying "Mommy, Daddy I'm going to be President one day." Can you imagine his parent's response--- and than their true thoughts- "My little boy dreams the impossible- but he dreams?" I laughed so...hard when he told Sen. Hillary Clinton- what he was doing while she "was working for Walmart as a corporate attorney- as her lips curled up over her teeth. Yes, sometimes we need to stay in our place...lol The possibilities of having a black president in the US gives me hope! For those of you having given up or doubt beyond any reason what you desire in life is impossible-- this blog is for you. I will ride the coat tail of Barack's inspiration. Inspiring me to be what I dare to be- too challenge that which could and maybe impossible. I think of all the times acheivers in life- "Dare to dream and don't give up!-when they finally receive some award of recognition for the sacrifice they made to live out their passion. My BP family---- yes dare to dream and challenge the impossible. Tears feel my eyes as I watch- I truly have lived to see a black man- set his vision on the white house...and go for it! Kennedy has endorsed him--- this could be it! When he moves his mouth to speak- I see why I haven't given up on the black man-such dignity-strength...and passion. My parents didn't lie to me- they wouldn't have... because they loved me to much. They raised me too support my community and love the color of my skin-although society wanted me to doubt... in spite of it all. When I receive my just reward and soon- one day- I will think about the times I blog with my bp family members- to me we are so close it like sitting in the family room having discussions. I have become so closed to you- and with heart felt appreciation, I will thank you all for your love and support my blackplanet family. I thank you for being a part of my life and believing in me so much- that it has become my inspiration.-coupled with the hope of Barack--- I can't see how any of us can miss. Yes, my black people dare to live out your dreams and don't give up on----HOPE! This is a beautiful moment- this is a beautiful time. It's not over yet and my GOD our GOD is GREAT! Love and peace Toni-Louise Life and its short cutsPosted
It is so easy for one to ask and expect of another many sacrifices. You know the 'ones' the ones you have to make in order to achieve some level of success and then later down the road after all the struggles when we seek desperately for a resting place, why is it always at the cost of someone or something that doesn't belong? We have to choose life's many roads and it leads us somewhere- often time where we don't know. But why does it have to be when you choose your direction and at that certain fork in the road of discovery when you find out- it was not what it was said too be- or intended to be. . do we look at our brothers and sisters to either take recognition and it could be good or bad and/or then their direction, in which of course you do not belong. I think the opportunity of learning from your mistakes and asking for ones guidance is a great thing. Why can't we ask our brother or sister for assistance- but instead insist and take-hiding behind our shame or pride? Life has no short-cuts. I'm inspired to write this because of one of the BP family member's comments about Hope- which led us to this place and time. You can not drive down the road of life on borrowed headlights- because the light that shines in your now borrowed direction - is not yours-therefore you now travel in darkness. When you make certain choices in life be it good of bad, then whatever consequences belong to you. Oh yeah- you may feel a level of security for a little while- but sooner or later- your actions will be your consequences. I believe most of us refer to it as - "The grass being greener on the other side." It's really hard sometimes to face reality. However, experience in life has taught me to face the reality, because your reality is your truth and with truth comes freedom. NO Matter---- how much we achieve in life there will always be more and better and as long as there is more and better- then we have challenges. But it has nothing to do with taking that which does not belong- to you or otherwise. I can't express enough the word 'consistency' and feel obligated to tell you that there are no short cuts, only consequences for the choices and actions we take in life and some are good and some are bad. Remember never take that which does not belong and moving forward I mean literally. "A Hero never chooses destiny- destiny chooses him/her." Peace Toni-Louise Clinton comment about LyndonPosted
I have received so many great responses regarding the election and the comment Hillary made. Please, I apologize but post your comments for others to read- they are great points that need to be shared. Here's the bulliten I posted: Once again words are powerful- perhaps where this is loosing direction are we talking about the Civil Rights Movement or the signing of the Civil Rights Act--- if she says the movement was Lyndon then she is wrong. However, Lyndon did it to capitalize (my opinion) during his candidacy. But if you watch on my myspace page the Honorable Third Good Marshalls response to the signing of the act- He stated it was not executed properly and Lyndon failed the black people- not I'm bringing you something from an educated black man who was there during that time. it was just some words place on a peace of paper and the CIC of the country failed to bring about certain repercussions- www.myspace.com/asoldierforjus tice the video in located under heros- very good interview- don't beleive me watch the video. Sovereign God vs. ManPosted
In the previous blog- the topic of sovereignity was discussed. Because so many BP members responded in question regarding God vs. Man- I thought a blog about sovereignity in accordance to scripture should be our next topic of discussion. We must always remember it's God's plan and hold strong to our faith in which we believe. I have learned to respect each other's belief- God moves in his own time and each of our faith is personal- therefore who am I to judge. These are the scriptures that come to mind. 'Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God and there is no other; I am God and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.' (Isaiah 46:9-10). 'He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff. "To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?" says the Holy One. Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.' (Isaiah 40:22-26). Isiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. The table I prepare for you is in a place where most people might not want their table to be. Your table is placed before your enemy in a place easily viewed by him. I display my eternal victory in and through you. I came and did the Father?s will. I came and did the Father's will. I ate from the Father's table in the presence of My enemies to overcome on your behalf. I suffered much, endured many struggles, and every temptation on your behalf. I did this all smack dab in the presence of those who hated Me and I won. So have you. I have set a table for you in this world as a grand display of My love, a grand display of your favor among the enemies camp. Remember, you are not of this world and are seated already in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). Your table is already seated where I am. Now all you have to do is feast and do what you see Me doing. Who is your enemy: fear, distress, oppression, lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, the pride of life, anger, malice, selfishness, hatred, hopelessness, lies and deceit etc? These things seek to bind you up, draw your attention away from My table, and convince you there is no possible way to live life more abundant. I was manifest to destroy the works of the evil one and so are you. In order to do this, you must walk in the spirit and use My Word(1 John 3:8). Focus on Me and don?t for a second take your eyes of Me or the Word. It is your manna, your bread. Ah?yes, it is your favor, your strength, your hope and your sure guarantee that I am greater in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Stay close under the shelter of My wings, My Word and do not wander from My secure embrace. I am taking you to some gourmet pastures in the days to come and I do not want you to miss it by wandering on the fringes of your purpose and calling. When you are close to Me things are safer, clearer, and full of light. While you eat at the table I have prepared for you, I will protect you from the enemy. I announce My great love for you by displaying your great favor with signs and wonders in the presence of all your enemies. Arise and see the teeth of the wicked shattered (Psalms 3:7). See the horse and rider thrown into the sea (Exodus 15:1). How it delights Me to see you walk upon the heights of My pasture, eat contentedly while displaying My power and authority among the presence of your enemies. Come and be filled And then of course we have the Psalms of David 23rd- Who was David and what and who was he up against? It's no different then as it is now- The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the path's of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk though the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Interested in hearing what you have to say about the power of man. I for one know no man can't challenge God's plan and position. He has brought me out of so much- even to deliver me before all of you- I sincerely means this. If you just beleive he will work many miracles in your life- even before all others to see.
Toni-Louise A request by a BP Member-Posted
If I understand right this BP Member already knows and understand what Sovereign means- If I may try to elaborate on the note forwarded to me-NO, let's just open the topic of discussion and see where it goes- I have great confidence in my BP family members in working this one amongst ourselves--- Here is the note sent to me. Peace and Blessing Toni-Louise, I read the blog and as usual it is "off the hook". I will respond to some of the comments that have been voiced but i need to do some research on some stuff as not to have my words twisted or maligned. Your belief is strong and i do wish that many of our people cared more about our country and state of well-being as you do. I hope you continue to inspire and continue to allow your words to give us a voice in the political arena, although i know that goes without saying. I would like for you to do me one favor, ask your fellow bloggers to look up the word "Sovereign" for me and discuss that word. This word is key to our freedom. May God continue to shine his light on you. Til next time.......PEACE! BP family member- just so you know I think I can speak for most of us who communicate on this blog- "I wouldn't be so concerned with some facts and grammer- I'm sure if there is anything mis-stated; someone will give you the direction you need." I just want to emphasize- and I hope everyone agrees with me- we all have life experiences to contribute, please don't let your confidence and inability to correctly spell or state what is on your mind- stop you from reaching out to us- that's the problem, I can think of a time when our ancestors couldn't read or write- however here we are. Sovereignty is the exclusive right to complete control over an area of governance, people, or oneself. A sovereign is the supreme lawmaking authority, subject to no other. Peace Toni-Louise
Words are very powerful....Posted
Sitting here this morning- it's such a lovely morning in the DC Metro area- with many thoughts as I read some of the notes sent by you. It is the beginning of a New Year. In addition, I'm listening to the news- about Hillary Clinton's emotional moment because of the miraculous events taking place with our soon to be elected President Barack Obama- (Girl get over IT!) you deserve it and so does he! I do have to say it moves me to witness how proud Hillary was to put Barack down and how convicted she was in regards to the possibility that no one would take a black man serious in this country- it just demonstrates the truth regarding how some people feel about people of color- and that based on the color of skin in this country- some choose to believe; one color is superior then others and in saying that- they choose to assume they have an advantage. - I' love watching another historical event- Barack reminds me of Dr. King and how people from different races joined him. A Rainbow of such power and unity of people who had taken their control back in this country- and it's based on concerns for the health and welfare of citizens of this country- to me that's genuine!!! I just want to say to you- from life experience. ALWAYS REMEMBER THE PRAYER OF HOPE- THAT WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES ANOTHER ONE OPENS.... A Soldier for Justice Toni-Louise |
