"Reflections of Me" by Peachanda DuBose "Walk a Mile in Thier Shoes"

"WALK A MILE IN THEIR SHOES"

BEFORE YOU FROWN AT THEM

'CAUSE THEY ARE DIFFERENT THAN YOU

BEFORE YOU TROD ON THEM

WITH YOUR SPIRITUAL OR MORAL SHOES

LET LIFE WEAR YOU DOWN

LET LIFE BEAT ON YOU

LIKE IT HAS ON OTHERS

BEFORE YOU JUDGE

BEFORE YOU CRITICIZE

WALK A MILE IN THEIR SHOES.

"Reflections of Me" by Peachanda DuBose Poem: "ALL WE NEED"

Posted

A SISTA'S POEM "ALL WE NEED"

A SINCERE LOVE IS ALL WE DESIRE

A LOVE TIME WON'T CHANGE. TOO REAL TO EXPIRE.

A TOUCH OF COMPASSION IS WHAT WE LONG.

TO LIE IN YOUR ARMS COMFORTING AND STRONG.

A LIMITLESS EAR OF UNDERSTANDING

LISTENING TO OUR EVERY NEED, HURT, AND FEARS

IN A TIME SO DEMANDING.

A LIFETIME OF HONESTY TO SECURE OUR TRUST

TO LEAVE NO DOUBT IN OUR FIDELITY;

THIS IS A MUST.

ALL WE NEED.

A SYMBOL OF LOVE EVERY ONCE AND A WHILE

A ROSE, A DIAMOND, EVEN A KISS BRINGS A SMILE.

A SIMPLE ACT OF AGRESSION, BLACK MAN!

BE MY SHEILD AND MY PROTECTION.

A REAL MAN WHO LOVES FREELY AND WITH CARE

SO GOOD, SO SWEET.

NO NEED TO LOOK ELSEWHERE.

BLACK MAN

THIS IS ALL WE NEED.

Poem: Him by Peachanda DuBose www.freewebs.com/ladyofpoetry

Posted

I love him

I love his lips

his eyes, his hands

his back, his smile

I love him

I love his ways

his craft, his talent

his gift, his style

I love him

I'm moved by his presence

his touch, his glow

his strength, his courage

That Black Man!

I love him.
