Message from Barack: "How this happened"

Posted

Before his Election Night speech last night, Barack sent out this message to suppporters:

I'm about to head to Grant Park to talk to everyone gathered there, but I wanted to write to you first.

We just made history.

And I don't want you to forget how we did it.

You made history every single day during this campaign -- every day you knocked on doors, made a donation, or talked to your family, friends, and neighbors about why you believe it's time for change.

I want to thank all of you who gave your time, talent, and passion to this campaign. We have a lot of work to do to get our country back on track, and I'll be in touch soon about what comes next.

But I want to be very clear about one thing...

All of this happened because of you.

Thank you,

Barack

Now or never

There are still a few hours to make a big difference in this election.

Before the polls close in your state. here's what you can do:

1.    If you haven't already -- VOTE TODAY:

         Find out where to vote

2.    Call or email everyone you know and make sure they've voted.

3.    Help turn out voters at a volunteer event near you:

         Find the closest event

4.    Go back to your polling location and encourage everyone to stay in line until they vote. Anyone who is in line before the polls close can cast their ballot, no matter how long the line.

5.    If you can't leave your house, get out the vote by calling voters:

Choose the state you'd like to call

The election in your state is going to be close -- and you can help bring the change we need.

Make history right now by voting and helping others vote.

Thanks for everything you're doing,

Obama for America

Tomorrow

Posted

We're just one day away from change.

Election Day is tomorrow -- Tuesday, November 4th. We've asked you to do a lot over the course of this campaign, and you've always come through.

Right now, I'm asking you to do one last thing -- vote tomorrow, and make sure everyone you know votes, too.

Volunteer Now

When this campaign began, we weren't given much of a chance by the pollsters or the pundits.

But tomorrow, we can make history.

We've made it this far because supporters like you never stopped believing in your power to bring about real change.

Take the final step now.

Find your polling location, and get everyone you know involved on Election Day.

With your vote, and the votes of your friends, family, and neighbors, we won't just win this election -- together, we will change this country and change the world.

Thank you,

Barack
