ANTI- SEMITIC

"ANTI-SEMITIC - HATERED TOWARD JEWS, BUT SHEM (SON OF NOAH) IS THE FATHER/PATRIARCH OF HEBREW, ARABIC, ARAMAIC, AKKADIAN, ETHIOPIC, AND PHONENCIAN LANGUAGES/CULTURE. SHEM IS ALSO THE PATERNAL FATHER OF ELAM(ARABIA), ASSHUR(ASSYRIA),LUD(LYDIANS), ARAM(ARAMAIC,ARMENIA,MESOPOTAMIA & SYRIA) AND ARPACHSHAD(WHO ABRAHAM IS A DECENDED OF). I MENTIONED THESE ORGINS TO SUPPORT THE FACT THAT ANTI SEMITIC IS NOT ONLY HATERED OR MISTREATMENT TOWARDS JEWS BUT ARABS AS WELL. OUR MODERN PERCEPTIONS/INTERPRITATIONS HAVE CAUSED SO MANY DIVISIONS WE FORGET TO OBSERVE THE ORIGINS & ROOTS OF HISTORY"- KiN CAMELL(GOOGLE THAT) PEACE TO YOU & YOURS + PEACE>WAR.

THOMAS PAINE'S "COMMON SENSE " IS UNCOMMON!

Posted

Explore Paine's theory concerning the idea that mankind is naturally equal and that government should reflect this state. Is he right? Is this a reasonable idea that can be applied in the formation of governments or simply a rhetoric argument with no practical application? Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" is spectacular in theory but, in actuality unattainable. What good are your ideals if your actions contradict them? "Common Sense" includes passages pertaining to Natural Rights(All men being created equal), but when "Common Sense" was drafted/published the Red Man (Native American) was being labeled a savage and the Black Man was considered three fifths of a human being. Why do immigrants today get treated as criminals as well as endure scrutiny and an expensive process? America was constructed by immigrants (forced or willing) and America was built on revolutionary ideals but today revolutionaries are not viewed as visionaries, they are viewed as terrorists i.e. Black Liberation Army, Black Panther Party or the US Organization. Freedom of Religion sounds pleasant, but all throughout this country's history all non Roman Catholics were chastised, harassed or even physically attacked. Jim Crow Law & Segregation laws of the Southern States contradict Thomas Paine's theories and ideas of equality. Just look at the resistance that the Civil Right Movement faced, i.e. the Ku Klux Klan, Southern politicians and officers. Even today in suburban neighborhoods located California landlord and brokers will not rent or sale property to non- Caucasian tenants. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Japanese Americans were forced into intern camps in which are another example of this country's unequal treatment. After the WTC Center attacks (9/11) followers of Islam & Americans with Middle Eastern origins were subject to extreme harassment and ridicule based on their appearance/image. Thomas Paine stressed the importance of the people/voters working cohesively & collectively with government with the sole purpose of ensuring a balanced and productive country. From the year 2000 - 2008 A.D. King / President George W Bush was a tyrant who reigned and influenced not just America but, Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel and Palestine. Despite mass opposition former King/President George W Bush exercised executive/monarch power to pass the Patriot Act as well as the Bush Doctrine and I'm sure this is the type of tyranny that Thomas Paine objected to. In the last five decades the United States has had several Presidents that ruled like Kings i.e. Nixon, Reagan, Bush I & II and when I say ruled like Kings I mean they served themselves as oppose to what was best for the country. Rather it was through War (Vietnam, Contras, Dessert Storm, and Afghanistan) or legislation we (the public) are still recovering from the selfish decisions that our recent Kings/Presidents have made. Out the Billions of typical mortals that have roamed this planet there emerged three profound individuals who were able to manifest/apply Thomas Paine's ideology to everyday life and those individuals were Gandhi, M.L.K JR and J.F.K. These three enlightened men were capable of uniting the masses and despite all the hatred & ignorance that surrounded them they successfully manifested the principles of Thomas Paine's "Common Sense". Gandhi, M.L.K and J.F.K utilized human equality in which inspired humanity to heal society's ills. These three profound martyrs shared their visions of unity in which, broke racial and societal barriers. These three profound individuals influenced generations to realize the fact that all members of the human race deserve the right to live without being judged based on their religion or ethnic background. Ironically all three of these dynamic men who epitomized Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" concepts were murdered in which brings me to the point that Thomas Paine had an epiphany where as he saw the potential that all human poses, but only a few poses the capacity to apply the kinetic/action that is necessary to live in a society where Religion nor Kings rule. I've reached the conclusion that Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" is basically rhetoric/speech with no logical approach/process. I try to entertain the thought/dream that mankind is created equal & our government reciprocates this notion, but the reality is we live in a nightmare where the only equality we know is observed in fictional books and film. The right to life, the right to liberty & the right to property is unattainable until society not only accepts cultural and ethnic differences, but also respects the differences. I refuse to believe that we (humans) must die in order to find peace, just think, ironic that after someone dies we (humans) generally engrave R.I.P (rest in peace) on the tombstone, but, we have yet to figure out how to live in PEACE.

MORE THAN A POEM FOR NINA SIMONE

Posted

At the age of three, she began to handle piano keys. In 1955,she was denied, acceptance into college when she applied, it was due to segregation in which is America's apartheid, but despite all the hatred to the school of Julliard she made it. On the track Mississippi Goddamn she let you know life was risky for a Blackman. This is more than a poem, about Nina Simone she's a revolutionary with a microphone and when she sung she hit America like a cyclone, her beautiful thick lips spit soulful linguists, if you missed it, go to the store and cop a disc quick. Her song "Sinner Man" fed my soul like dinner fam. Her songs provided info on legislation, such as Jim Crow and segregation. It's crazy though her songs don't get played on the radio, but she's important still, she inspired Erykah Badu & Lauryn Hill. Some say Nina's demeana was meana than the average Senorita, but that's because America didn't treat huh, with respect, so she chose to reflect the fact that, it's a blessing to be young gifted & Black! No she didn't have massive hits, but she was a singer, songwriter, pianist, arranger and a civil rights activist. "The high priests of soul", with a distinctive flow. Rather jazz, blues, soul, folk R&B, gospel or pop, her music the world rock. She is a genius and I mean this, and if you don't believe me, ask common & weezy, and if you still wonder if she's good, they both sampled her song, "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood". This is true life no fable, her husband and record label, showed no loyalty when they swindled her out of royalties. Life is too short to boo hoo and if you don't love Nina Simone she'll put a spell on you. She was very revolutionary and still inspires us to get strong, and thankfully through artist like India Arie, Nina lives on.
