Tithes..Mandatory or Not

As I was reading the responses I noticed that the answers are from individual points of views, which is why these questions are important so we can see the various responses.

You will find that according to the word of God, God being a Spirit with everlasting life, makes everlasting covenants.

Tithes is one of the earliest forms of self sacrifice and self denials that God required to be made by everyone that he was going to bless.

Refer.: Hebrews 7th chapter. This was instituted with Abraham, then to Isaac and then to Jacob and the people Israel that came from Jacob's sons.

"24: But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance." Numbers 18:24

The scripture mentioned in Malachi 3...

"6: For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. 7: Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? 8: Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9: Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation."
Malachi 3:6-7

Now ask any pastor what nation was God referring to being robbed? The only nation that had a covenant of tithes in their laws, were the ancient Israelites.. and that is an everlasting covenant made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

we also understand that Jesus Christ is the one that will lead us into the kingdom of Heaven, and as he told the Apostle Peter, whatsoever he (Peter and apostles) bind on earth is bound in heaven.. how much more the words of Christ himself?

"17: Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. 18: For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19: Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20: For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:17-20

and finally..

Christ tells the Pharisees that they only focus on the tithes and not the rest of the law..they were not to leave any part of the law undone. (remember we just read that not one jot ot tittle shall pass from the law)

"23: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone."
Matthew 23:23

What Does Christ look like?

Most people who confess that Christ is black, do so because they, or the research they came across goes back to Revelation chapter 1.

hence: Most people can paraphrase "wolly hair", "skin like brass", and "eyes like fire".

In the same chapter we also read in verse 3.

"3: Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand."
Revelations 1:3

everything we learn about Christ is a blessing, including what he looked like when he walked the earth in the flesh.

When we look at John chapter 1...

"11: He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." John 1:11-14

Just like Christ was rejected by the leaders of his people for his message, today millions of people reject him because of how he looks.

He was made in the image of the invisible God, and the bible tells us that in the beginning man was also made in the image of God...for those that have always wanted to know what color Adam was... Jesus Christ said blessed are your eyes for you see and your ears for you hear.

finally ..one of the Apostles asked Christ to show his one of the greatest mysteries in the Bible.. what does the Father look like?

Christ said that his Father in heaven, looks like him!

"6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7: If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8: Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9: Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?"
John 14:6-9

Remember Phillip wanted to physically see the Father.

In the beginning was the Word and he was with his Father, before he was made flesh. He chose to come into the earth as a black man.
