Message from Barack: "How this happened"

Posted

Before his Election Night speech last night, Barack sent out this message to suppporters:

I'm about to head to Grant Park to talk to everyone gathered there, but I wanted to write to you first.

We just made history.

And I don't want you to forget how we did it.

You made history every single day during this campaign -- every day you knocked on doors, made a donation, or talked to your family, friends, and neighbors about why you believe it's time for change.

I want to thank all of you who gave your time, talent, and passion to this campaign. We have a lot of work to do to get our country back on track, and I'll be in touch soon about what comes next.

But I want to be very clear about one thing...

All of this happened because of you.

Thank you,
Barack

Polling Place Locator: Tell Your Friends

Posted

We have 5 days left to make sure as many people as possible cast their votes for change.

But you'd be surprised how many of your friends and family don't know where to vote in your state, a crucial battleground state.

Take a minute to look up your polling place on our voting website, VoteForChange.com, then forward this email to your friends, family, and neighbors so they can look up theirs, too.

On VoteForChange.com you can find out where to vote and get crucial voting information.

This race is too close for you -- or anyone you know -- not to vote.

And the issues we're facing are too important to keep anyone's voice out of the political process just because they didn't know where to vote.

Can you forward this email to at least five friends, family members, or coworkers and tell them to look up their polling location?

Supporters like you can transform this nation, and I'm counting on your help to make sure every Obama supporter in your state knows where they can cast their vote for change on Election Day.

Thank you for your help,
Jon

Vote early in Utah

Posted

Vote early in Utah

Starting today, every day is Election Day in Utah.

Early voting is fast, easy, and it could make the difference. Show your friends and family that you've made up your mind and you're ready for change now.

Take the first step today. Find your Early Vote location.

Early voting is simple, safe, and convenient. It's also a vital part of our strategy.

The more supporters who make their voices heard now, the more energy and resources we can devote to our get out the vote efforts closer to Election Day.

Vote early today and see if you can get five or more friends to vote early with you.

All across the country, supporters like you are working together to grow this movement for change. We know that Utah families can't afford four more years of failed Bush-McCain policies.

That's why we need you to help make sure we have an advantage in Utah before Election Day.

Take a moment now to fill out some basic information and make your voice heard:

http://ut.voteforchange.com

This is our chance to take America in a new direction -- so the next four years don't look like the last eight.

We can't do this without you.

Thanks,

Suzanne

Utah: Register before it's too late

Posted

Barack is reminding Utahns to make sure they're registered to vote before the October 6th deadline.

The last day to register to vote in Utah is next Monday, October 6th.

Are you registered? Are your friends and family?

If you only forward one email to your friends, family, and neighbors today -- make it this one.

Each and every vote in Utah is absolutely crucial to victory on Election Day.

Visit VoteForChange.com, our one-stop voter registration website, and register before the Utah deadline.

Supporters like you have built the biggest grassroots movement in the history of American politics.

But in just 8 days, the time for bringing new voices into the political process will be over.

You need to be certain that you, your friends, and your family are registered by the deadline -- it's a small step that will have a huge impact on our Election Day results.

This election is too important to leave anything to chance. Make sure your voice is heard.

Thanks,

Barack

If you have friends or family who support Barack but might not be registered, you can use our online email importer to send them a message about VoteForChange.com in less than a minute. Don't worry -- we won't hold on to any of the email addresses you share. By bringing more people into the process, we can have a huge impact on elections up and down the ballot in November.

You'd be surprised by how many people you know who aren't registered to vote.

Registration deadlines are coming up soon, and we need every single vote we can get to win this election.

Tell your friends, family, and neighbors to check out our new one-stop voter registration website.

Just forward this message.

VoteforChange.com makes it easier than ever to register. Instead of tracking down the right forms, all you need to do is answer a few basic questions and you'll be ready to vote. You can also:

-- Confirm your existing registration
-- Apply to vote absentee
-- Find your polling place

If you don't know your own registration status or you'd like to learn more, take a minute to visit the site right now.

This race is too close and too important to stay home on Election Day.

If you take the time to register and vote -- and make sure everyone you know is registered as well -- we'll be able to turn the tide of the past eight years.

It's people just like you who will transform this nation.

Thanks,

Barack

Message from Barack: Did You See Michelle?

Posted

Barack just sent out this email...

Dear Friend -

I am so lucky to be married to the woman who delivered that speech last night.

Michelle was electrifying, inspiring, and absolutely magnificent. I get a lot of credit for the speech I gave at the 2004 convention -- but I think she may have me beat.

You have to see it to believe it.

And make sure to forward this email to your friends and family -- they'll want to see it too.

You really don't want to miss this.

And I'm not just saying that because she's my wife -- I truly believe it was the best speech of the campaign so far.
