Message from Barack: "How this happened"

Posted

Before his Election Night speech last night, Barack sent out this message to suppporters:

I'm about to head to Grant Park to talk to everyone gathered there, but I wanted to write to you first.

We just made history.

And I don't want you to forget how we did it.

You made history every single day during this campaign -- every day you knocked on doors, made a donation, or talked to your family, friends, and neighbors about why you believe it's time for change.

I want to thank all of you who gave your time, talent, and passion to this campaign. We have a lot of work to do to get our country back on track, and I'll be in touch soon about what comes next.

But I want to be very clear about one thing...

All of this happened because of you.

Thank you,
Barack

It's Election Day

Posted

New Mexico, the polls are now open.  It’s a great day to elect Barack Obama President and Joe Biden Vice President.

All of the hard work and the long days come down to today.

It’s up to us to finish what we’ve started.

CHANGE comes today!

But first, we need everyone to VOTE, and then we need everyone to VOLUNTEER.

YES WE CAN!!

Here are some tips to help you make sure Election Day goes smoothly:

The polls are open from 7:00AM to 7:00PM.  If you are in line by 7:00PM, it’s your right to vote.

If you have not received your absentee ballot, you can get another ballot at your polling place on Tuesday, November 4th.

If you registered to vote by mail for the first time and didn't include ID, you must bring ID with you to the polls. The address on your ID does not need to match your registration address.

You may be asked to remove or cover any campaign gear (Obama T-shirts, buttons, etc.) that you wear to the polls. As long as you comply, you still have the right to vote.

Help us Get Out the Vote

Posted

This is it.  We're 2 days away from electing the next President of the United States.

But before we can elect Barack Obama and Joe Biden, we need to Get Out the Vote.

Polls don't matter on Election Day.  What matters on Election Day is the number of people who vote.

It doesn't matter if you're a first time volunteer or a season veteran, we need everyone's help.

Can Barack and Joe count on you to give a few hours or an afternoon to help get out the vote?

Signup here and let's go win this election:

Today is the last day to Early Vote

Posted

Saturday is the last day to Early Vote in New Mexico.  If you haven't voted yet, please VOTE TODAY.

Find your closest Early Vote location:  http://nm.voteforchange.com

And then signup and volunteer to work a shift in the last days of this campaign: http://my.barackobama.com/novvolunteers

We need everyone to lend a hand.  Don't pay attention to the polls because they don't mean anything on Election Day.  The only thing that matters on Election Day is the number of voters who cast their ballot.

Do you need a ride to the polls?  Fill out this online form and we'll drive you to the polls:  http://my.barackobama.com/nmride

And don't forget to check the New Mexico home page for the latest updates from this past week, as well as updates from now until Election Day.

OUR TIME IS NOW!

Every Day is Election Day

Posted

Starting Saturday, October 18, every day is Election Day in New Mexico.

Early voting is fast, easy, and it could make the difference in this crucial battleground state. Show your friends and family that you've made up your mind and you're ready for change now.

Take the first step today. Find your Early Vote location.

Early voting is simple, safe, and convenient. It's also a vital part of our strategy.

The more supporters who make their voices heard now, the more energy and resources we can devote to our get out the vote efforts closer to Election Day.

Vote early today and see if you can get five or more friends to vote early with you.

All across the country, supporters like you are working together to grow this movement for change. We know that New Mexico families can't afford four more years of failed Bush-McCain policies.

That's why we need you to help make sure we have an advantage in New Mexico before Election Day.

This is our chance to take America in a new direction -- so the next four years don't look like the last eight.

We can't do this without you. Make your voice heard. http://www.voteforchange.com

Tuesday is the last day you can register to vote

Posted

Tuesday, October 7 is the last day that you can register to vote in New Mexico.

Are you registered? Is every member of your family registered? Are all of your friends registered?

Visit http://www.voteforchange.com to register right now.

Your registration has to be postmarked with either today's date or Tuesday's date: October 7.

If you can't get it postmarked by tomorrow, then stop by your local field office and register to vote there.

Here's a list of all of the New Mexico Campaign for Change offices.

Thx!
