What do you love so much that you're willing to stay up until 1:00 A.M. in the morning for? Can you identify that thing that makes you excited and elated in the morning? What do you hold on to when times get tough? I love helping and uplifting other people. It's way past my bed time but I don't care because I know that someone will be motivated by what I'm saying.

Take the time to consider what is you love. You'll know you're dedicated when you move against all odds to see that one thing manifest in your life.

Hello everyone! In the previous post I told you to expect some improvements. Guess what! I am finally in the flow. I'll begin updating this blog this weekend. I am so excited about what's happening. Taking a break when you need it is very important and I suggest this to everyone including aspiring business people. Sometimes you have to stop what you're doing to gain focus and clarity.

THIS BLOG IS A PART OF THE EMPOWERMENT BLOG NETWORK

You may not know this, but I haven't been actively blogging for the past two weeks. I've been taking some time do some reflection and planning as I continue the growth of my blogging career and all that encompasses it. I have drawn several conclusions:

Conclusion #1: I am scaling back the blogging network to maintain balance and continue to produce high quality content. The Empowerment Blog Network will consist of 3 blogs for the time being. I will relaunch the postponed blogs at a later date. The three blogs are:

- The personal finance blog that planted the seed for this entire project.

- Blogging is something that has truly empowered and enriched my life. I want to give this to other people.

- This is my newest blog and was not announced during the launch of the Empowerment Blog Network. This blog is a holistic beauty blog. It focuses on wellness, beauty, and fashion related topics. There will also be an emphasis on self-esteem and self-love throughout this blog.

iHeart Travel, Relaxed & Natural Hair, and Kimmy B. Blogged! will be released at later dates.

Conclusion #3: The Podcast and Newsletter will be launched on Friday, March 20th. I will keep you posted as we get closer to this date.

Finally, if there is any lesson I can impart to you from this experience it is this: take the time to ask yourself how you are doing on a regular basis. Ask yourself what you want and need. Don't be afraid to do what's neccesary to make those things a reality. I have done so much growing in the past few weeks because I consciously took this time to reflect. Reflection can only make you stronger. Reflect on a regular basis!

A lot is what's going on. I've been doing a lot of back end stuff to strengthen my blogging network. Okay, you’re knee deep in goal fulfillment and you have a set back or a failure. What do you do? You take a moment and then you move on. When this happens it may seem like it’s impossible to move on but you can. If fulfilling your goal is something you truly desire, then nothing should stop you. Here are some suggestions on overcoming failures or setbacks as you go through your goal fulfillment process:

1.) If you are working with a team and the setback happens to be a mistake that was made, admit it (this applies to those who are working by themselves also). Admit it and figure out how to fix it. You may wish to identify the error and figure out ways to correct it. Make sure your team is involved in the process as well.

2.) Take a break to gain clarity about what to do next. Sometimes when we’re working on a goal we get too close to it and it’s hard to see the reality. Stepping back from the goal for a day or two may lead to new ideas and discoveries... [Read More]
