The day following the very emotional and overwhelming win for Obama, Run sits down with Krazy and Taste to discuss Obama's role in America, specifically his responsibility to the black community. Does Obama, our next president, have an obligation to Black America?
Tonight's show was by far the most heated and possibly the best show so far. Some felt that Obama is obligated, not only to America in general, but exclusively to the black population. He is by far obligated to protect, secure and enhance our way of living. Had we not witnessed the many leaders stand up, fight and die for us, some feel Obama would not be in the position he is currently, as the most powerful man in America.
Others felt that Obama is first and foremost an American president. Unfortunately, that role comes with a universal responsibility, not just a racial one. If Obama's platform was solely to enhance the disenfranchised black community he would not be in the position he is currently. Therefore, if he improves the lives of all Americans then all black communities will be improved as well.
While this show was definitely a show to tune in to, the show ended on a cliffhanger. Perhaps this is a topic that will be revisited at a later time.
