Crock pots are the new American idols. Healthy slow cooker recipes are stealing the limelight from the regularly prepared meals. Sorry, microwaves and non-stick pans.
Both of these dishes were excellent. The Spaghetti Warehouse makes their lasagna is made with layers of meat sauce, sausage stew, cheeses, herbs and spices and topped with their delicious meat sauce. Both my wife and I love lasagna as much as Garfield.
While the unassuming flavor worked well for me, I also remained interested in the nutritional facts like fat content. With only 2 grams of saturated fat (7 grams of total fat per serving, according to the label), these brats are much healthier than the leading bratwurst brand, which contains 8 grams of saturated fat sausage stew guinness 22 grams of total fat per link (The Daily Plate, 2009).
How about something for breakfast? Invite some of your friends over for brunch on a Saturday. Have them bring their favorite slow cooker chicken and sausage casserole or muffins and tell them you'll provide the drinks! Then knock their socks off with this wonderful blended treat~!
For this soup I used a roasted chicken that I brought from my local grocery store. This is a nice way to shorten the slow cooker sausage casserole cooking time of your soup and still get amazing flavor. You are more than welcome to use raw chicken but you will want to make sure the chicken is cooked completely before eating your soup.
You can use pre-cut stew meat. I prefer to cut up a pot-roast myself because the meat is leaner and I think the taste is better (and I wait till it goes on sale). Often I cut everything up the night before and am always happy I did, as I literally toss it in the pot, and just add the liquids.
O.K. get going and get out of here! It is too great of a day to be sitting indoors... hey, if you have to work on your computer and you have a laptop, at least go somewhere outdoors where you can do your work. Enjoy the moments of your life, one great moment at a time! Peace my friends and today will be the best day of your life, that is, if you decide it will be!
