I sometimes quip that the only down side to working at home is that I work in my home. Even with the kids gone to school it's easy to get distracted from work. Writing articles keeps me just as busy as any job I may have out in the community, but somehow, because I writing from my home, I am constantly faced with the at home work: cooking for people with assorted schedules, cleaning, laundry, bills, errands, phone calls, etc. This is how I multi-task (aka juggle).
Here's another approach: You never weigh yourself. You forget your goal of losing ten pounds. What matters is getting healthier. And the only way to do that is to eat better. So you focus on that, eating smaller portions of healthy food, avoiding high-fat snacks and desserts. You're adapting to a new lifestyle and at the end of the month you realize you've lost some weight.
We had a choice of sitting inside or out. It was a little chilly in the restaurant, so we briefly considered eating outside, but ended up opting to sit by the window.
