Barack sent out this email today:

It's been an inspiring journey so far, but tomorrow night in Iowa the action really begins.

Our journey will continue through more than 20 other states in a little over a month.

But first, I wanted you to see this video showing where we've been:

We're still just shy of our goal of 500,000 people owning a piece of this campaign.

Make a donation of $25 now and help us get there:

The half a million people who've donated to this campaign have allowed us to build an unparalleled organization across the country.

Our campaign manager, David Plouffe, put together some numbers this week that show the strength of what this movement has created in the first four states and beyond:

Iowa: January 3rd -- We have more field offices (37), more field staffers (over 200), and more volunteers than any other campaign. According to the final Des Moines Register poll before the caucuses, the strength of our lead comes from "a dramatic influx of first-time caucusgoers, including a sizable bloc of political independents."

New Hampshire: January 8th -- The largest field operation in the state has made nearly 1.6 million phone calls and knocked on 330,000 doors. Our campaign has been endorsed by both Democratic US Representatives, Paul Hodes and Carol Shea-Porter, and the latest Boston Globe/University of New Hampshire poll puts us in the lead.

Nevada: January 19th -- We have the biggest organization with 11 field offices and more than 50 staff; we're gaining strength every day.

South Carolina: January 26th -- Former Democratic chairman Donald Fowler praised our 55 staff members in 11 offices for running "the most methodical voter-canvassing project I have ever seen in South Carolina."

22 other states: February 5th -- We have 32 offices open in 17 states, including states like Alaska, Utah, and Alabama where we're the only campaign up and running with a serious organization.

We're fired up here in Iowa, and nearly half a million people all across the country who own a piece of this campaign are ready to go.

Take a moment to watch this video about where we've been, and make a donation now to get us where we're going:

Thank you,

Barack

I would have to agree with you Shenna34 to congratulate Sen. Obama in advance for Hampshire. In addition, I would also congratulate him in advance for South Carolina. I say this partly because this is the first time in American history were the youth of the US really stood in the political arena to excise their votes for change. Therefore, Iowa is example of what we should see more and more down the road. God bless Obama, our country, and the world!

The last few years have been tumultuous one for us, the American people. For the first time in a while (since President Clinton was in office), there is hope. Thanks to you and your ideals and the platform on which you are running. Being a social worker (MSW), I have watched child welfare issues rise while I have watched the budget dwindle down along with the services for our most prized citizens; our children. I have watched the Child Health Insurance Program (CHIP) go on the proverbial chopping block as it relates to its budget, or the lack there of. I know people who have lost loved ones to a senseless war with no sign of it ending any time in the near future. All in all Senator, you represent hope, not for the few, but for the masses of people, many of whom had given up ever hoping that this country will be a place for not only rich people, but for middle class and poor people. Having said that, I am proud to give you my vote and my support. Congratulations on your success thus far. You and your family remain in my prayers.
