THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE

I'm to late?

I just got wind of your article/show on getting published. I know I made a bad deal with my book. I just feel it. Sure they are publishing my work and yes they gave me a small advance to sign. Its just a feeling...I am not being represented throughly. My work will not be seen by enough people to meet my expectations.......to live up to the potential that is there. Any suggestions?

Real Eyes 69,
Don't Panic!
Even if you made a bad deal, you already signed, and I can tell you from experience that 99 percent of debut authors or artists period feel like we are screwed on the deal.

Take a deep breath and then jump in and promote the heck out of your book. Set up a site or blog, contact bloggers and ask them to interview you about your book. The publishing company will/should send free copies to journalists. You do all of the follow up. This is your career.

Get somebody with a camera even to shoot an interview with you or trailer for the book that you can post everywhere.

It's all promotion at this point, and I hate to be the bearer of what may seem like bad s, but it's all on you. Take charge and go for it. And don't be so hard on yourself. You did the best you could at the time. Next time will be better, but for now, turn it out. Good luck!

xo,
a.

I didn't get a chance to hear you voice, but seeing your presentation I can see you are about your work. I am trying to get my book publish to and prayer works so i know god is going to work it out for me. Your message was very inspiring and gives me a medium to look at when i get things completed. I am to all this internet business, but I have the inspiration to learn it. I survide 25 years in prison for Bank robbery, and came home very sane and now helping others, and telling my life story, so the young wil not give their life to involuntary servitude. I am a brother from a generation of fighters I grew up to play a part in the struggle for a generation of people of color to enjoy the fruits of my generation's labor, and the fights still goes on now. It's war now with Good and Evil, because there is so much information out there, that people now are being charged for what they know. The Biblical words spoken by the Lord on the cross "forgive them Lord for they know what they do" are not applicable today unless give your life to the Lord first.
