If your going out on a boat you should always first plan your trip. Good planning and preparation prevents problems whilst out at sea. Below are 8 tips to help you plan your voyage.

Extra Class - Holders of this license have total access to all HF VHF and UHF frequencies which have been assigned to icom earpiece radio. For this license you must have passed the general and advanced exams, be able to copy Morse code at 20 words per minute and complete an examination on the more complex aspects of radio theory, operations and FCC rules.

Pull on the anchor rode, or use the boat diesel to nudge up near the trip line. Use a boat hook to retrieve the float. First try to retrieve icom radio your anchor without using the trip-line. If it's fouled pull on the line to try and capsize the anchor. Take the line to a halyard or sheet winch for more pulling power.

Today's bass fisherman is far better equipped: Top of the line rod, reel and a dozen or so assorted lures of all sizes shapes and colors. His bass boat has a GPS, a depth finder and a marine radio so he can keep up with what is going on around the lake.

It's interesting to note that there appears to be very few manufacturers who make an FRS only radio any longer. Mostly, only combination FRS & GMRS handies are being offered new. FRS only handies are available used on eBay, however, and do appear infrequently as NOS (New Old Stock). Icom radios also makes an FRS only walkie-talkie, but it's not inexpensive.
