Lions & Tigers & Bears...

Why are people so afraid to admit that they want to be in love? People are so afraid of giving themselves selflessly to another that they build these impenetrable walls. Who are you hurting? Only yourself. By not letting anyone in you will never know the joys that love can bring. Yes, there are times when there will be pain when it comes to love; but the joy outweighs it all.

Everyone wants a NSA relationship. Are there not strings attached regardless? Once you let someone into your body or your mind you are attached. That person is forever linked to a part of you regardless if you never see them again. That person is a part of your 'body count' and has a piece of your soul with them.

I see all these pages with people proclaiming they are not looking. Unless you are blind or faithfully involved, you are always looking. You are always hoping to find that someone who can love you unconditionally & you return the favor. Jazmine Sullivan's song is so fitting. Many people are fearless in life but so fearful of love. Learn that it is okay to be vulnerable when the heart is concerned.

I totally agree! It's just that people are scared to be hurt again, and they let it totally dominate their feelings for falling in love again, and they don't give a person, who could possibly be the THE ONE, a chance to prove that. Thus putting up all these walls, or barriers for some! I 've been hurt a few times myself, but, I never let that hurt, make it bad for the next person who might enter my life, To me, it was a learning experience, be cautious, but not put up impossible barriers, when it comes to love and trusting, granted you have to give a certain amout of trust, when things are new, but as things progress in a relationship, most trust is given. You never blame or hold accountable the NEW person in your life for things you were hurt over in the past. Everone desreves a new chance to start over new, and treat things as a NEW beginning. I'm always looking to be in a Healthy committed, relationship, and when it comes my way,I welcome it with open arms, Always try to be be optimistic about love. It's a beautiful thing to be in Love.

Thanks Ms. J. This is so true. A line from Brian McKnight says it best for me "while the sun shines on you I need some love to rain on me". No one wants to be all alone in this world.

@BigWil ...I concur whole heartedly. I feel like the relationships of the past are training to make you a better woman/man for that love of your life in the future.

It is always great reading your blogs. I often think about the same things when I see so many sisters talking about they are lesbians and don't need a man. But go buy a plastic dildo and pretend that they are a man.But it is a product of the music and images that are promoted that give people that mind set as well. All the women want to be amatuer strippers and pornstars, all you have to do is look at the images they put of themselves on here and myspace. And then wonder why men just want to f-ck the sh-t out of them and their friends too.
