I heard it again, just the other day A Change is long overdue .
And another thing..I wish the bill collectors would just stop calling me to..
Haven't they heard the banks..they don't play fair
They using smoke and mirrors making the money look like double in the glare
They making it look like they have it when they don't
Telling the country they will give it back when they know they won't
Calculating the deficit before the funds are even found
And the word "profit" is never said if the government is around
But they tell me.."we want our money and we want it now"
I say I can't get to work had to trade my car in for a cow
Milk is now higher than meat -it's higher than gas
Cost too much to hang out-I already gave that a pass
A change is long overdue and that's no lie
Use to get high and fantasize about touching the sky
Now stay sober and alert waiting for this change to come my way
Working is harder now instead of money you working to stay in your job every day!
Bill collectors I know they calling me because they don't want to get fired
And end up on the other end of the phone with calls like the ones they inspired
Calling even my cell phone from a restricted line
If I don't know who's calling you ain't getting my time
