American Heroes
Veterans Memorial Day 2009

True American Heroes are recognized on Memorial Day!
They captured our hearts in a very special way.
So proudly marching into harm’s way everyday!
spreading American ideals along the way.

Before they were heroes the were just like you
Wanting to do all that they could for you to
Through natural disasters and world wars,
unflinchingly fighting to save us all.

Can you imagine someone being so brave
reaching out to others lives trying to save
always keep a special place in your heart and soul
for the lives of those heroes are more precious than gold

True American Heroes sacrifices can never be surpassed!
Within our hearts and minds may their memories last.
Such a heavy burden of freedom all Heroes must bear.
Thank God for American Heroes everywhere!
