Billie Holiday was and remains one of the most profound female soloists/artists that this world has ever had the blessing of hearing.
When I was a little girl; my grandmother would play Billie`s music and I`d listen and think *wow, that`s a different kind of singing voice. I wonder what she`s been through.* My grandmother would just say `baby she`d seen some rough times, but she`s singing from her heart; and that`s what you are hearing now`... So, When Diana Ross portrayed Billie in `Lady Sings The Blues`, I was a older and was able to understand what my grandmother was telling me as a child. Then when I was in my mid-twenties I too had the opportunity to sing one of her songs and I chose to dress in the period that she would have performed the song. I continue to portray the music and history of Billie Holiday in theatrical presentations, as I have read books and articles about her life, so that I can feel her story as the lyrics flow from my lips.
Billie Holiday: The #1 Female Artist on my list. Gone yes, but NEVER forgotten.

This is a `MUST SEE` performance and you Do Not want to miss it! Mrs. W captivates the moment as she tells the life stories of Harriet Tubman and Sojourner Truth; two couragious African-American slaves who were born for the purpose of experiencing the cruelty of slavery and yet they were given the blessing of being Abolitionists and speaking up for rights for African Americans and freeing hundreds during the period of slavery in America. While Mrs. W humbly recounts these events; Ms. AC melodiously and sometimes chillingly sings spiritual "Code" songs from the period that kept the slaves informed as to whether it was time for them to "Steal Away!" or just keep their mind " Stayed on Jesus" cause one day He was gonna free them. Some slaves were freed on the `Underground Railroad` and many died in passage ships in route to The Americas and in the fields. Invite Ms. AC and Mom to your church or community event and allow them to share African American history with you in dramatization. In 2008, let us not forget to thank God for the fore-runners that paved the way so that we could now have great jobs and families that were not born into slavery, but born in "Beautiful America" the place we are proud to call HOME."

Entertainment, travel, financial securtity are focal points in my life. I`ve been blessed to meet some very nice people and have put smiles on faces and warmed hearts throughout this world.

A FEW OF THE PLACES I`VE BEEN
I love to sit by a cozy lit fire and listen to soft music. Just sit there and reflect on the day and plan for the future Travel is my perfect relaxation. I enjoyed the amusement park in Asia. I celebrated a birthday while visiting Korea. The Nationals and Americans gave me a cake and gifts. That was a wonderful day in my life! I enjoyed my visit and will travel abroad more often. It is GREAT to be an American! Appreciating `ALL` people for being who GOD made them is what I strive for daily; I`m comforatble around everyone that I meet. A sunset in New Jersey Ahhhh, sunset and dawn are 2 of my favorite parts of the day. Sunsets are so relaxing and stimulating for me. Travel to N.J. was fun... I really enjoyed my walk on the beach in Atlantic City. The view of the New York side, as well as the Canada side of Niagara Falls was refreshing. Wow, that was a wonderful experience. I actually had an opportunity to ride a boat into the spray of both sides. It was exhilerating! Palm trees in Hollywood. St. Patrick's Day Parade in Jackson, Mississippi, and Bourbon Street in New Orleans! Visted 2 additonal countries in 2008.  I L-O-V-E America and am proud that this is my home.  We are very blessed to live in this Country!!!

January 20,2009, President Barack Obama made hisgtory as the FIRST African-American President of the United States of America! The first  photo was taken in DC on the grounds of the mall, on January 18, 2009, which was 2 days prior to the inauguration.  The 'energy' of everyone I met or encountered as we breathed in the beauty of what was taking place in our Country, was amazing! The second photo was taken on January 20, 2009, at the home of a family member.

Thoughts: You would not respect me if I held my head low. You would not respect me if I were a liar. You would not respect me if I cheated on my man. You would not respect me if I were not punctual. I feel the same about everyone who comes into my quiet space called `Life`.... I respect all honest and ethical qualities in our human existence. Yes, honesty and ethics are what each of us equate them to be, but we have a reasonable understanding of `right and wrong`... Life is full of too much beauty for us to clutter up a days flow with unpleasantries... I am a beautiful Black Woman that is on a course toward excellence. I love my world and you are welcome in it, but you MUST COME CORRECT! If you enjoy being in a euphoric sense of well-being, then you have come to the perfect place.
