Lady of Grace…Woman of Peace

I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror.
What I saw today was different than any other day.
Yesterday, I saw myself…a sinner, ugly, black, scarred, stained.
Before I went to bed, I said my prayers to the One who created it all.

I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror.
What I saw today was different than any other day.
Today, I saw myself…saved by grace, beautiful, black, washed cleaned, eyes filled with hope and peace.

What caused the change?

I finally decided that there was One who was greater than I was.
One who promised me that He would wash me white as snow….
My only responsibility was to proclaim HIM, call HIM by His name…
Believe like I have never believed…. trust like I have never trusted.

I had to forgive, as I now understood that I was forgiven.
I had to love like I now understood that I was loved.
I had to extend mercy and grace, as I now understood that grace and mercy was mine.

What I see today is a lady of grace, kissed on the forehead by a Father who
Not only created me, but constructed me divinely for His purpose.
I see what I will be tomorrow, I see what I was in the past, and I see what I can be on this day.

I am a lady of grace fashioned in the image of the Creator, who makes me new each day.

Dear Creator, I except my commission as a lady of grace…. a daughter of yours. Destined for greatness.

Yes, I am a lady of grace. I now walk with my head high filled with the grace and mercy that was extended to me
due to a beneficent and merciful Creator.

Special Friend

These thoughtful lyrics are inspired by a girl
Hidden in plain-sight, yet she glistened like a pearl
We became acquainted by way of circumstance
I don't know if we'll go deeper, but I'll take that chance

She's sweet as honey, one of a kind
Her unique personality sends a warm chill down my spine
She's blessed with an angelic voice, laced with her own style
Her beautiful smile can drive a man wild

Her sexy body is just... ooh, so good
It captivates my eyes, to be a part of it, I wish I could
Firm breast, sweet lips, juicy %#&@$!, and coke-bottle hips
The thought of sexing her stimulates my body to the tip

She's about her business, which gives me admiration
This poem is for her, she gave me inspiration
What we have, I hope it lasts, form now to the end
Maybe one day, she'll be more than a special friend.

Black Queen

Beautiful Black queen
You are the lady in my dreams
So sweet is thy lips
So soft and tender is thy breasts
I have never known the joy
The joy which you bring me
Tonight I lay awake eye open
Thoughs of you on my mind
Its hard for me to express my feelings
So usually I tend to ignore
The love which I have for you
You are the joy in my heart
The face of the night sky
I can never let the chance
Of loving you pass me by
Because you are the one I been
Longing for.

This woman knows her worth

My worth is unmentionable; you cannot put a price on me
Portuguese and black sister with God's love to proclaim.
Light skinned sista with light colored eyes.
Oh yes we come in different colors, in shapes, and size.
A very proud black woman, a true artifact of class.
You couldn't't rate me with a dirty coin.
A dime piece?!!! PLEASE I will surely pass.
I love and fear God, there's no shame in my game.
Wont was a second ignoring a man calling me baby, ma, or shorty...
My mother already gave me a name.
You Cant determine my being a woman from the wiggle in my behind,
But do it by how I respect people whether they're cripple, crazy, or blind.
For Jesus is love and he surely loves you and me.
And for that I love myself...I hope there are a few more sistas out there like me.

My Nubian Queen

Her hair is like that of the darkest night,
Her eyes are of deep ebony brown,
Yet her smile is like non-other I've seen thus far,
She is my Nubian Queen!

The lips she posses are of rose petals,
Her touch is of heaven descent,
Her beauty is rare as is natural,
A black woman, also my queen.

Though no one is truly perfect,
In my eyes she can do no wrong,
My Nubian Queen everlasting...
For me there can be only her.

To comfort me in my time of morn,
To help lift me if I should fall,
To believe there's hope when all else fails,
She's merely being herself...also my Nubian Queen.

A strong black woman she is indeed,
Also passionate with understanding as well,
This woman would never leave my side,
For love is never a question within my mind,
My Lady, my Queen for all times...

To All The Good Sista's

Hold your head up sista's,
for you are a jewel
you say you are nothing, don't be a fool.
You are one of God's most beautiful beings,
Get out of that relationship,
drop the dead weight you're seeing.
You deserve to be treated
like a queen, and loved.
For remember your creator,
you were sent from above.
You're a beautiful black woman,
demand your respect,
Think positive of yourself, or much
baggage you will collect.

A black woman so beautiful,
who can compare?
who can find one more precious?
Can someone tell me where?
The way she walks, it is second to none,
She can walk pass a brotha,
and his heart she has already won.
A sense of pride she has,
and a voice so soothing to the ear,
Her smile lights up the night,
oh how I wish she was near.

Near to me here, as I sit in this place,
So I may hold her close and look into her face.
A good black woman, makes one
want to be a better man,
To be together with her, for that's God's plan.

Here's to all the good sista's,
for all that you do,
there is a good strong brotha,
who is looking just for you.
