Making a small difference in the lives of others ... is that a quality you find endearing? I do. I love reading and hearing about those who choose to share their lives in some sort of service to others to make life a little more bearable. Life is already tough and the world as we know it today doesn't make it any easier, but there are those few ... a remnant, if you will, who find it in their hearts to spread a little cheer ... a little care ... a little concern to help someone else along the way. Isn't that what life should be about. This is what I find so much pleasure in ... helping others. I'm what one might call a "jack of all trades, master of one or two things." I am currently a home visitor and parent educator and a certified nursing assistant and I am finding this new career path quite rewarding and fun. I plan to return to school soon to pursue a nursing career. I love spending time with my family, playing board games, going to the movies and the theater. I enjoy bowling and watching basketball and football. I also love good, in depth conversation with the right person. I received the Lord as my personal Lord and Savior in 1986 or 1987 (I honestly can't remember which year) and I attend church regularly. Having a relationship with the Lord is extremely important to me. I can't imagine how one can manage and stay sane in this world without Him. I have two grown children ... a son age 25 and a daughter 21. I also spend lots of time with my family and my sister's family. I do my best to work out at least 4 times a week and I am very conscious about my health. I am very careful about what I put into my body, mind and spirit. Why did I join the Planet? I thought it might be a good place to meet people who live outside of Wilmington, DE where I live. People are so busy and with work and life, it's sometimes hard to meet people and even harder to stay connected. I often find myself occasionally spending a little of my free time in bookstores and the library playing the Sims2 or playing with my Nintendo DS (Yes, I play with a DS) and I find some time to knit or crochet and sew.
