Hello to all that visit! My name is Annette D. Colbert-Beavers. I am so proud and thankful to God for my heritage. If you know anything about Oklahoma, we're a very mixed-race of people. I'm a part of the Chicksaw Nation that happens to an indie filmmaker from Oklahoma City. Yes, I'm creative to say the least, celebrating 21 years as a filmmaker. My latest project is headed for Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France. If you know anything about a creative person, it truly applies, I can be moody, temperamental, fun at times and in a different mode all in one moment! I look at people and things differently than most, I have a super big heart, always tolerant of things most wouldn't care to be tolerant of. I think of people as a work of art, so I see things sometimes through rose-colored glass until the real you 'shows' up. Also, I'm not the type to drop a meaningful friendship just because we disagree on a few things. I can disengage from you easily and give you the space to grow so I expect the same from you, too. I bounce between Los Angeles, Oklahoma City, Dallas, and New York sometimes I will go to Florida. It's because I fly as private pilot and will rent a Piper or Cessna to do so especially if it relates to the art and soul of filmmaking. It's a craft where the technology continues to develop. I think it separates is from the Amateurs who enter when it's truly an expensive Art. Lastly but yes the first priority, I love my family. My parents are such wonderful examples of mutual-respect, love and trust. I'm the oldest daughter. My daughter is pursuing her college education while parenting two beautiful sons and married to a wonderful man that is courageously in the Air Force! So, bring me your best, as I will give you the same! I am a Hubzone, SBA Certified 8A, Federally-recognized Native American-owned business (of the Chickasaw Nation). I am a Federal Contractor with projects all over the USA. I do consult and help others If you will click and look at some of the videos I've included you can see some of my work. I intend this year to chronicle the Oklahoma Black Townships with their Mayors.(Many of them are personal friends of mine) and my films are not only feature but documentary in nature. I believe this is the year as our economy heals that so will our relationships with one another. I am hoping the best for all. It is the will of God to have the best no matter who you are!    |
