"The school officials voted to have the tuition increase by $2,500, or 32%! $10,302 is the new education fee of the University of California. This fee doesn't pay for books, room, and board either. Therefore, another $16,000 can be added on to that." (what if you live with mom?)
$2,500! They had the cheapest school in the United States! But why must it go up? Becasue the financial arm of these colleges invested in bogus derivatives, bogus stocks, tied to the housing bubble. Who pays? The students, because college is a PRIVILEDGE, not a RIGHT. Someone has to cover the losses of California's bad investment. Your watching students getting arrested and cryiing, like that is an action that will receive a reaction worth wating.
Let's look at what the city of Birmingham is doing. It is taking JP Morgan and Goldman Sacs to the courts. Study this please. The city of Birmingham is stating that it bought these derivatives, which both JP Morgan and Goldman sacs knew where bogus. This caused Birmingham to lose a lot of money.
The students are wasting they're time protesting at the schools. Find out where they're college money actually goes, where it was invested in, and who invests it. Then, go protest there/
