I work as a Corrections Officer for almost three years now... and i love my job, and i am looking into making a career out of Law Enforcement. "IN THE MOMENT" In the moment Waking up to see another day Its crazy how the time just flies away Trying to keep track of all the things we need to do Bypast the time you should use for the people around you Taking for granted the times that make us smile Worrying about the times that made us frown Living in the past, a mistake we all seem to do Never stopping to think and admire the things around you Spitting out words that you regret later on Holding grudges that should of been gone Faking a smile to front for friends Looking in the mirror trying to make yourself believe your innocent Fight for things you know are wrong Trying to fit in when you know you don't belong Saying you love someone when you can care less Trying to figure out someone that aint tryin to let u in Taking more then you give Giving all you can and noone appreciates your kindness Thinking material things is better then words like this All of these things, we seem to fall fault for Instead of doing the things we know are right We fall for temptation and living on the wild side Take time to live your life Don't let the time past you by Live life, Love hard, and Stay loyal to the ones you love Give a smile every once in a while If you notice when you smile, they smile back It makes you feel good and takes away your troubles for a moment or two Never regret; learn from your mistakes Take your pain and make it your strength I learned these things the hard way But I thank God for another day And I thank you for taking time to read what I have to say.
