I agree with the Dr.'s approach and some of his interim conclusions, but to disparage the SF council's suggestion as not being "legitimate" based solely upon this preliminary information is academic snobbery (presumably, because they're not using the same methods to draw its conclusion as him and his colleagues? I don't know...).

I would remind the doctor that they're studying this on a municipal level at this time; not a nationwide one, which his work seems to support in earnest. He and other Americans can critique the findings once that council's report is released in its entirety, this June.
